Wisconsin's new Safer At Home order that was issued yesterday gives libraries some flexibility to begin offering curbside pickup of library materials, but not until April 24 or later. The previous order, which prohibits curbside service, remains in effect until 8 a.m. on April 24.
Albertson Memorial Library is exploring the possibility of curbside pickup of library materials, and we are awaiting additional interpretation from the Department of Public Instruction and the State Department of Health. Our goal is to provide this service as soon after April 24 as possible, and when we have a plan in place for offering and managing curbside pickup we will issue public announcements.
Our priority is the safety of library customers and library staff, and we want to be develop this new service accordingly.
Thank you for your continued patience. We miss you and are anxious to serve you.
