Summer Reading Challenge
We have two ways to log reading this year, Beanstack and traditional paper logging. If you do not have a Beanstack account, start here! If you already have a Beanstack account, simply visit the Challenges page to sign-up. For paper logging, please visit the library to sign-up and receive your log.
This year, there will be a raffle at the end of the challenge for a variety of Grand Prizes. Each age group will have their own set of prizes to choose from. As you read your way through the summer, you'll earn virtual tickets to go into the prize drawing of your choice. The more you read, the better your chances to win! Winners will be selected and contacted after the challenge has ended.
Summer Library Program
Get ready to travel across America in a hot air balloon adventure in 'Adventure Begins At Your Library' ! Join us for seven fun-filled weeks as we visit Albany all over the country.
Two sessions will be held each Tuesday; 10am- 11am recommended for children 3-6, and 1pm-2pm recommended for children 1st Grade through 4th Grade. We understand that families may have children in both age groups, so please feel free to come to just one of the sessions with all your children. Please note that each session is tailored to that specific age group, so the activities/information may be more basic or more advanced depending on the session attended. Our schedule is as follows:
- June 11th- A Walk in the Woods
- June 18th- Having a Sandy Adventure
- June 25th- Home, Home on the Range
- July 2nd- Up & Down the Mountain
- July 9th- Coasting Through the Summer
- July 16th- NO ACTIVITY
- July 23rd- It's a Swamp Thing
- July 30th- BONUS Baby, It's Cold Up There
